Green tea was first used for restorative and medicinal purposes over two thousand years ago by the Koreans. The mé line consists of many green tea products because of Dr. Hong’s knowledge of its rejuvenating effects. The name mé was then chosen to tie in both Dr. Hong’s heritage and the interesting facts of Korean history.

It has been proven that antioxidants help to treat and prevent skin damage by counteracting the effects of free radicals before they cause any harm. With this knowledge, many of the mé products were formulated with green tea since it is a very potent and powerful antioxidant.

The first step to better skin is the use of a good sunscreen or sun block. Our unique formula is rich in antioxidants to calm the skin and it provides a broad spectrum of UVA and UVB protection to prevent sun damage both chemically and physically. This is the best protection against sun damage and the signs of aging.

Yes, recommended skin types are listed for each product. Some of the products that work best for sensitive skin are the Gly/Sal Cleanser and Pads, Green Tea Fortified Cleanser, and Green Tea Serum and Cream.

Glycolic acid is found in sugar cane and because of its small molecular size, it penetrates the skin easily. Glycolic acid helps to gently exfoliate the skin to remove any dead skin cells. With continued use, the appearance of fine lines fade away and clearer smoother skin is achieved. Also, glycolic acid acts as a high potency moisturizer by bringing water molecules from the environment into the skin, and by pulling water molecules from the lower levels of the skin to the dry, upper layers of the skin.

The effects of a topical regimen usually takes two to three months to see maximum results, but when implemented into one’s daily routine, it can improve the skin enough to post pone the need for other skin therapies.

Unless you would like your skin to go back to the way it was prior to using the mé products, it is recommended that use not be discontinued.
